Growing with Faith - Facilities Expansion at St. Michael
On Sunday, August 17, 2008, the Congregation unanimously approved construction of the “Phase 1 — Classroom Addition”. The addition will add much needed space to St. Michael’s facilities and will allow the congregation to strengthen, support and expand our educational ministry.

The latest updates on the process are available through these links. Lionberger Construction company is preparing to begin construction. They have begun to move equipment onto the site and will start work as soon as they receive a permit from the Town of Blacksburg. “Facilities Expansion Recommendations from the Congregational Council” details the Council’s recommendation to proceed with construction of the Classroom Addition. The recommendations will be considered at a Congregational Meeting on August 17, 2008 at 10 AM in the Fellowship Hall. “Growing with Faith: Information Update August 14, 2008” provides the latest information on the Classroom Addition project. “Growing with Faith: Giving Summary August 14, 2008” details the generous giving of the congregation in support of the Classroom Addition. “Additional Costs Associated with Facilities Expansion August 2008” details the short term and long term costs associated with construction of the Classroom Addition that are not included in a construction contract.
