St. Michael, Luther Memorial and Lutheran Family Services of Virginia co-sponsor a grief support group called Hope for the Holidays to provide help to those who are grieving. You can find information on the group and how to get involved by downloading the Hope for the Holidays Flyer.

Reflections on 2009 Churchwide Assembly

The ELCA Churchwide Assembly took place from August 17 to August 23 and considered a number of issues ranging from Malaria to Full Communion with the United Methodist Church, but the agenda items which received the most attention dealt with issues of human sexuality. Bishop Mauney and Bishop Hanson reflected on the decisions of the Assembly.
