Across the SpectrumAcross the Spectrum is a worship and fellowship event inclusive of all people with all abilities and learning styles.

Across the Spectrum meets at 3 PM on the first Sunday of the month at St. Michael Lutheran Church and on the third Sunday of the month at Christ Lutheran in Radford.

This event was born out of a desire to provide a safe place of worship for people of all learning styles and persons on the autism spectrum, as well as their loved ones. Our vision for hospitality includes all people of all abilities.

We offer activities that provide multiple access points so that all people, regardless of ability, can find ways to engage with God.

We believe that God created all people with integrity and want this space to foster recognition of that divine dignity given to all people.

We believe that God meets us wherever we are on the spectrums of life, and that how others experience God can help to nurture the faith of all people.

So, what does this look like?

Multi-sensory stations that help to engage with more than just words, but pictures, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures.

Worship at your own pace in order to provide comfortable, accessible opportunities to learn more about God. There are no required activities, only an invitation to participate as God leads you.

Image-driven bulletins so that people of all abilities can see what activities are available.

Is Across the Spectrum for you and your loved ones?

The only way to know for sure is to come and experience the event. But know this.

All are welcome. Regardless of ability, no matter your learning style, you are welcome. We want to find ways to find God together.
