Hands-On Ministry Opportunity: Gleaning to help the Hungry - - Be part of the Lutheran group which is going to glean turnips in Riner on Saturday, November 13, 9-11:00 a.m. Gleaning is the practice of going into a field and salvaging produce after the farmer has already completed the harvest. We are trying to gather a group from Luther Memorial, Lutheran Campus Ministry, St. Michael and other area congregations to harvest turnips, which will go to food banks. This is a great family activity which can do a lot of good. We will plan to leave Luther Memorial that morning at 8:30 AM. For more information or if you are interested in going, please talk to Pastor John (pastorjohn@stmlc.us).
